There is something calming and fun about cooking for me. I love putting on music and making a favorite meal, or trying a new recipe. I've always wanted to take a cooking class so Ashlyn and I decided to plan a little Valentine's Day brunch cooking class for our boys - and it was SO much fun!
We learned the proper way to handle a knife, cut veggies, saute, poach an egg and laughed along the way. The menu was delicious: flavorful scrambled eggs, pico de gallo, hollandaise sauce, a sweet potato hash.... yum! (The only thing I didn't like was the complimentary bloody mary.) It was such a great time with great friends!
