Goodbye 2012

We are back from Florida and I can't tell you how relaxing and fun it was! Reality is now setting in and I realize how fast 2012 has flown by. It's been an amazing year full of happenings and growing this blog. While planning new posts, I found myself looking back at a year-full of outfits - and it was fun to see where I took risks and stepped out of my comfort zone. This new year, I'm continuing the same goal and hope you'll join me in Feeling Good!

I hope you all had a great relaxing holiday! For us, the month of December has been jam-packed with holiday events and they were all so much fun! Here's a look into some events via Instagram, including a cocktail party, decorating our tree and much more. (I just realized there is a lot of sparkle in these photos and I love it! It's that time of year after all.)

Robert Rodriguez Lace Dress

Since we enjoyed Christmas in DC this year, we treated ourselves to a night out shortly before Santa arrived. I knew right away I was wearing my new Robert Rodriguez lace dress for a "Chocolate Decadence" date night at the Ritz DC. It was such a fabulous event complete with complimentary champagne and all-you-could-eat chocolate desserts!

Merry Christmas

We're staying in DC for Christmas this year, so today will be full of baking and prep for dinner tomorrow with Matt's coworker. Friday's Fancies: Holiday Best

Quick story: my middle school colors were red, black and white and I swore up and down I would never wear the combo.

And here we are xx years later where I'm going all out for today's FF using the color combination I used to hate. To me, "holiday best" means a fabulous red dress, animal print and black and gold accessories. I also (virtually) splurged on the heels because they're just perfect. And another bonus: unlike bridesmaids dresses, this red hot number can be worn over and over again!

Cable Knit & Pleats

Lately I've been going back through my closet to see if there are any dresses that I could add a sweater overtop. I finally tried it over the weekend for church and I love the way it turned out. There's just something dressy yet cozy about a sweater over a dress. Adding a statement necklace never hurts, and I can tell already that this Jewelmint beauty will be getting a lot of use!

ASOS Foil Print Sweater

I cannot pick out one single thing that I am swooning over in this outfit - I am in love with it all! This is what I decided on for casual holiday party #1 at the office. As soon as I received my metallic gold ASOS sweater, I knew immediately I was pairing it with my burgundy skinny jeans. I thought about wearing flats, but then decided to break in my new blush Shoemint heels.
