Friday's Fancies: Outfit Crush

*The Inspiration*

Don't you just love lace and its beautiful lady-like pattern? Today's FF is all about an outfit crush, and I've spent the entire week picking one out of my pile. I finally decided on the outfit above. White lace, dark jeans, minimal jewelry and a great clutch. It's airy and perfect for the transitional weather that we are entering into. Once I realized I have a lace top I hardly wear - I decided to create my take on it... using a bit more color. ;)

Goodies: Oxblood

Oxblood by alissakelly featuring a TopShop Sequin Pencil Skirt

I really can't get the color Oxblood out of my head - in a good way. (Who came up with the name, though??) 

It is a rich, bold color that is perfect for fall. I've seen Oxblood lipstick, tops, shoes and blazers... all of which are amazing and I'd like one of everything. But what I'm really loving: Oxblood skirts. I found several at really great prices and had to share my favorites. Peplum? Sequins? Pleated? So perfect for the office and date night! I'm loving the idea of these paired with some animal print, too.

Just one thing for today.... I NEED THESE SHOES. Talk about perfect: red suede, a bow and chunky heel and animal print cap toe. I die. After I pinned them to my Pinterest board dedicated to shoes, I literally can't stop staring. Donations are welcome until I get to the amount of [gulp] $150.

I loved watching the Emmys but really loved watching the red carpet arrivals on E! (Side note: genius idea to have a stiletto and mani-cam.) The ladies above made my 'Best Dressed' list by far... no one else really stuck out for me. As for the overall fashion, I think yellow and burgundy take the most popular colors. I also noticed a lot of minimal jewels, but so many of the gowns didn't need much jewelry. What did you think of the Emmys fashion?

Friday's Fancies: Football Frenzy

Yes, another Steelers-themed post... I just couldn't resist for today's Friday's Fancies!

Ever since I bought this blazer, I've been itching to wear it. It deserves to see daylight more often. I certainly would not be waiving my Terrible Towel at a tailgate in this get-up (could you imagine?!) but would, however, wear it almost anywhere. I knew for its debut, I had to pair it with my jumpsuit and add some animal print. :) Football jersey or not - I'm ready to cheer on my team!

Little Black Dress

Since Matt's been kicking serious butt at work (hello, raise) he suggested we go out to dinner. Twist my arm. I immediately began planning our date night celebration outfit and couldn't resist a little sparkle and pop of red. Despite the dreary weather yesterday, we had a lot to celebrate! (And lately, I love a good sparkly outfit.)

Styling With LOFT

I wanted to share a few behind-the-scenes photos with you all from a styling event I attended at LOFT over the weekend. A HUGE thanks to Ashley as well as Vicky & Courtney from LOFT Georgetown for allowing me to take over the store and style outfits! I had a blast!

Down By The Bay

Another relaxing weekend spent at the Bay crabbing and enjoying the outdoors! My wardrobe was a bit different this trip... with summer winding down, I decided to add layers for the chilly evenings on the water. Perfect dock attire to enjoy the view before dinner. Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Fashion Inspiration: Revenge

I had THE best dream a few nights ago: Nolan and I were in love, but he had to get back to filming Revenge and surprised me at home with a bunch of gifts. I woke up right after we kissed goodbye. {It appears I am really ready for Revenge Season 2 to start in a couple weeks.}

Which brings me to this months Fashion Inspiration with 2 of the leading ladies of Revenge: Ashley Madekwe and Emily VanCamp. I love watching the show for the fashion as much as the.. well, revenge.

Off-camera, these ladies are still fab! Ashley has a versatile style, which she shows on her blog. A classy, sometimes edgy (and always fabulous) newlywed. (Plus, her Instagram pics on the Revenge set make me drool.) I love Emily and her feminine style. We could definitely share wardrobes: she's always on the red carpet in fitted, feminine dresses and sky high heels. And I love seeing her even more glammed up on magazine covers (like Lucky, above).


So who will be watching & tweeting with me during the Revenge premiere on the 30th? I have so many questions from last season: did everyone die in the plane crash? Even Victoria? Will Jack & Emily fall in love? Is fake Emily's baby really Jack's?! And will Nolan fall in love with me already??
